Voicing notes: Many arrangements are labeled with a voicing such as “Barbershop Upper Voices.” “Barbershop” means that the melody is mostly in an inner voice, and the voice parts are labeled Tenor, Lead, Baritone and Bass. “Upper Voices” resembles the voice ranges of choral soprano and alto, “Lower Voices” includes the voice ranges of choral tenor and bass, and “Mixed Voices” refers to a combination of those voice ranges. Any arrangement listed without the “Barbershop” label in the title is written in traditional choral voicing using some combination of soprano, alto, tenor and bass.
